Art

The year got off to an almost literal bang if the image below is anything to go by!

Le Sorelle, a new Australian (and Italian!) play had its world premiere at the Italian Club, Fremantle, in February 2022. The story of an Aussie guy tangled up between two sisters, the combination of English and Italian language made the experience even more authentic. (You can read a review here.)

Left to right: Andrew O’Connell, Nigel Goodwin, and Jason Robert Lester getting artistic for Art, a play by Yazmina Reza about three friends fighting over a white painting! Photo by David Cox Media.

The company then turned its attention to the next project: Yazmina Reza’s contemporary classic Art. Three friends argue about a white painting! Serge (Nigel Goodwin) has bought an almost entirely white painting, much to the chagrin of his friend, Marc (Andrew O’Connell). Their friend Ivan (Jason Robert Lester) tries to keep them from arguing about the painting but he only makes things worse! A very funny play, Art will be performed at Holmes à Court Gallery @no. 10 (West Perth) from September 29-October 2 (5 shows). Come and enjoy a red or white Vasse Felix before the show, take in some contemporary Australian visual art, then sit back and enjoy the show!

Well, make sure you don’t miss Art! And if you have any questions, or would like to donate to help us to continue making innovative theatre, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
