What’s in the oven?

Hello!

February and March has been a period of incubation for Company O with two major projects ‘in the oven’.

Filming for Death and the Little Girl took place in March. The film, currently in post production, (the production stills look great!) is expected to be released in April, or May this year. We hope you can attend the premiere! Special thanks must go to Red Light Film WA whose team of professionals have exceeded our expectations. A special congratulations to Andre Rodrigues and Grace Garnett, who starred as Death, and The Little Girl, respectively, and, of course, congratulations to the rest of the cast as well.

We’ve also managed to cast our next theatre project, No Exit, by Jean Paul Satre, which will take place in a bespoke shipping container in the Creative Quarter at Curtin University (see photo). The first ever theatre performance in this unique space, the container is air-conditioned and has TWO exits so audiences who get claustrophobic can simply exit (that’s a pun!) - unlike the characters in the play! The container, as can be seen in the photo, has a glass front, which should give audiences a sense of openness - we hope - while evoking the sensation of being trapped in ‘hell’ with the characters! It’s going to be interesting and you won’t want to miss it!

No Exit will be performed inside this container!! (Don’t worry, it’s air-conditioned!)

Congratulations to Tatiana Dunn, Jessica Husying, Andrew O’Connell, Clayton Mitchell, and Liz Gordon (musician), who have all been cast in this play. The play will go on in October this year - we’ll keep you posted!

Exciting times ahead!
